Deep-Hole Drilling (up to 10xD) • HTS systems
The HTS deep-hole drilling can drill as deep as 10x diameter while still maintaining accuracy and stability. The system’s exclusive High-Speed Steel (HSS) pilot drill design makes this deep-hole capability possible. By precutting and then remaining constantly in the cut, the pilot drill provides excellent guiding and centering of the drill head, even at greater depths. With the modular design of the HTS system, you can construct different drilling combinations from a variety of standard components. Cartridges can be modified to produce specific diameters within the limits of each head and can be replaced quickly with a single mounting screw. The internal coolant supply of the HTS system cools the cutting edges and assists chip evacuation.
